Beginner’s Guide: The Easy Way to Master Fajas Use

Fajas have gained popularity as an effective tool for shaping the figure, improving posture, and providing support during post-surgery recovery. However, if you're new to using them, it's natural to have questions and doubts about how to get started. In this blog, we’ll share practical tips to ensure a comfortable and beneficial experience from day one.

1. Choose the Right Faja for You

Not all fajas are the same, so it’s important to pick one that suits your specific needs. Some are designed for waist shaping, others for post-surgery use, and some for posture correction or postpartum recovery.

Before buying, consider:

Your goal: Do you want to reduce measurements, improve posture, or recover from surgery?

Your body type: Look for a faja that fits your measurements without being too tight.

The material: Opt for breathable, high-quality materials that are gentle on the skin, such as Powernet or Lycra.

2. Measure Your Size Correctly

Choosing the right size is essential. A faja that is too tight can cause discomfort and health issues, while one that is too loose won’t fulfill its purpose. Use a measuring tape to take your bust, waist, and hip measurements, and compare them with the brand’s size chart. Remember that sizes can vary between brands, so don’t rely only on the number.

3. Start Gradually

If you have never worn a faja before, it’s best to let your body adapt gradually. During the first few days:

Wear it for 1–2 hours a day.

Gradually increase the wearing time until reaching 8 hours a day, if desired.

Listen to your body: If you feel discomfort or excessive pressure, take a break.

4. Learn How to Put It On Correctly

It may seem simple, but putting on a faja properly is key to its effectiveness and your comfort. Here are some basic steps:

Put on the faja calmly and without rushing.

If it’s a full-body faja, start from the feet and slowly adjust it upwards.

Use a mirror to ensure it is well-positioned and not folded.

If it has hooks or zippers, start fastening from the bottom up carefully.

5. Combine Its Use with a Healthy Lifestyle

Although fajas help shape your figure, they are not a magical solution. For better results:

Maintain a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, protein, and water.

Exercise regularly, especially focusing on strengthening the abdomen and back.

Use the faja as a complement, not a substitute for healthy habits.

6. Listen to Your Body

Finally, remember that every body is different. If you ever feel discomfort, difficulty breathing, or skin irritation, remove the faja and consult a specialist. Comfort and health should always be the priority.

Starting to wear a faja can be a transformative experience when done correctly. Choose the right model, wear it in moderation at first, and complement its use with healthy habits. With patience and consistency, you’ll notice improvements in your figure and confidence. Take the first step toward change!
